The first recorded meeting at the White City Stadium in the Old Trafford area of Manchester was on 16th June 1928. One of the rarest programmes to survive from that period is shown below and is of a meeting that took place in August 1928. | |||
The track had a circumference of 440 yards during the 1928-29 season but was slightly extended by 6 yards for subsequent meetings. | |||

The team raced as an Open team in 1928, but joined the Englsih Dirt Track League in 1929 and the Northern League in 1930. The final speedway meeting held at the track was on 5th July 1930 when Manchester White City lost to Manchester Belle Vue Juniors 31-22. | |||
